Wales’ Largest Onshore Wind Farm Scoops Green Energy Award
Vattenfall’s 228MW Pen y Cymoedd project, which Prysmian UK supplied its high voltage 132kV cables to, has won the outstanding renewable energy project in the country’s green energy awards.
The 76-turbine project, which has been operational since May, picked up the award at the RenewableUK Cymru-organised Wales Green Energy Awards on Friday 10th November.
Darrell Cook, Utilities Business Manager, Prysmian Cables & Systems, commented: “Prysmian is delighted to be involved in an award-winning project recognized for its contribution toward a more sustainable future for energy supply in Wales.”
The awards are now in their fifth year and celebrate the achievements of the green energy industry in Wales.
RenewableUK Cymru director David Clubb said: “Above all, today was an opportunity to celebrate our achievements, meet with friends and acquaintances old and new, and look forward to the next year with all the challenges and opportunities it will undoubtedly bring.”
